Office Announces Suspension of Digital Audio Recording Technology Distribution Proceeding (65 FR 37412)

The Copyright Office of the Library of Congress announces the suspension of the proceeding to distribute the 1995-98 digital audio recording technology ("DART") royalties in the Musical Works Funds. The proceeding will be suspended from May 16 until June 16. The 180-day arbitration period for the proceeding will resume on June 16, 2000. The proceeding was suspended due to the resignation of one member of the original arbitration panel. A meeting between the participants in the distribution proceeding and the arbitrators will take place at 1:00 p.m. on June 19, 2000, at the Library of Congress, James Madison Building, LM-414, 101 Independence Avenue, S.E., Washington, D.C. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the hearing schedule and any other procedural matters.

The members of the arbitration panel are The Honorable Cheryl Niro (Chairperson), The Honorable John Farmakides, and The Honorable Harold Himmelman.
