Copyright Office Publishes Agreement under the Webcaster Settlement Act of 2009

In accordance with the requirements set forth in section 114(f)(5)(B), as amended by the Webcaster Settlement Act of 2009 (Pub.L. 111-36), the Copyright Office is publishing an agreement that sets rates and terms for the reproduction and performance of sound recordings made by certain specified webcasters under two statutory licenses. Webcasters who meet the eligibility requirements may choose to operate under the statutory licenses in accordance with the rates and terms set forth in the agreement published in the Federal Register rather than the rates and terms of any determination by the Copyright Royalty Judges.

The Copyright Office has no responsibility for administering the rates and terms of the agreement beyond publication of this notice. Questions regarding the rates and terms set forth in the agreement should be directed to SoundExchange at www.soundexchange.com. For further information, go to the Copyright Office website at www.copyright.gov. (Read more.)
