OFFICE AMENDS PROCEDURES FOR GROUP REGISTRATION OF SERIALS (62 FR 63657)
To become eligible to use the group registration procedure, an applicant must establish
two complimentary subscriptions of the individual serial title for the Library of
Congress. A letter must be submitted stating that the complimentary subscriptions
have been entered. After Dec. 2, the letter must be addressed to: Library of Congress,
"Group Periodicals Registration," Washington, D.C. 20540-4161.

OFFICE REQUESTS COMMENTS ON NONCOMMERCIAL EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING COMPULSORY
LICENSE ROYALTY RATES AND PROPOSED REGULATIONS (62 FR 63502)
The Copyright Office submitted for public comment additional settlement proposals
for the adjustment of the royalty rates for the noncommercial educational broadcasting
compulsory license and proposed regulations for implementing these rates. Comments
and Notices of Intent to Participate in proposed rulemaking procedure due in
Copyright Office on Dec. 29, 1997.

procedure on Noncommercial Educational Broadcasting Compulsory License due in Copyright Office.

December 31, 1997: For works from Berne and World Trade Organization
member countries that were restored to copyright on January 1, 1996,
the deadline to file a Notice of Intent to Enforce a Restored
Copyright (NIE) with the Copyright Office under section 104A of the
copyright law, as amended by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act (URAA).
