COPYRIGHT OFFICE REVISES FORM FOR NOTICE OF USE OF SOUND RECORDINGS UNDER STATUTORY LICENSE

The Copyright Office has revised Form M269, "Notice of Use of Sound Recordings under Statutory License." The form is used to state a transmission service's intention to use the statutory license under sections 112(e) or 114(d)(2) or both, of title 17 U.S.C. The revised form reflects the new interim regulation on notice and recordkeeping requirements for use of sound recordings, effective on April 12, 2004 (69 FR 11515), which require revised notices to be filed with the Copyright Office by July 1, 2004. View and download the revised form by clicking here. For further information, click here.
