Copyright Office and USPTO Announce the Availability of Electronic Comment Page for Proceeding on Facilitating Access to Copyrighted Works

The Copyright Office and the United States Patent and Trademark
Office (USPTO) announce that parties may file comments electronically
in the proceeding seeking comment on the topic of facilitating access
to copyrighted works for "blind or other persons with disabilities"
in connection with a forthcoming meeting of the Standing Committee on
Copyright and Related Rights of the World Intellectual Property
Organization. This announcement follows a Federal Register notice
published on March 26, 2009, as supplemented in a notice published on
April 17, 2009. Comments are due by 5:00 pm on April 21, 2009. Reply
comments are due by 5:00 pm on May 4, 2009. The electronic comment
page is available on the Copyright Office website
www.copyright.gov/docs/sccr/comments/. (Read further information.)
