Deadline for Reply Comments Extended by 7 hours from 5:00 pm (Eastern Time) December 4 to 12:00 am (Eastern Time) December 5, 2009

The United States Copyright Office and United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) are extending the period to file reply comments in connection with the Notice of Inquiry and Request for Comments on the topic of facilitating access to copyrighted works for the blind or other persons with disabilities. The Copyright Office and USPTO published the Notice of Inquiry on October 13, 2009 (74 FR 52507),  and initial comments were due on November 13, 2009. Reply comments were due by December 4, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. eastern standard time. The deadline has been extended by seven hours to 12:00 a.m. eastern standard time, December 5, 2009.  For further information, go to the Copyright Office website at www.copyright.gov/docs/sccr/comments/.
