List of parties to international copyright agreements
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Below is a list of countries which have signed and ratified one or more multilateral international copyright treaties. This list covers only multilateral treaties (i.e., treaties by more than two countries). It does not include bilateral treaties (treaties between only two countries). Related rights provide intellectual property rights for performers, producers of sound recordings (phonograms) and broadcasting organisations. In some countries these rights are known simply as copyright, while other countries distinguish them from authors' rights: in either case, the international laws which are concerned with them are distinct from those concerned with literary and artistic works under the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and other treaties.
Berne
Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, Berne, September 9, 1886, came into force December 5, 1887[1]
UCC Geneva
Universal Copyright Convention, Geneva Act, September 6, 1952, came into force September 16, 1955[2]
UCC Paris
Universal Copyright Convention, Paris Act, July 24, 1971, came into force July 10, 1974[3]
TRIPS
Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, Marrakech, April 15, 1994, came into force January, 1 1995[4] Note: membership in TRIPS coincides with membership in the World Trade Organization; observer governments of the World Trade Organization are marked observer in the table below.
WCT
WIPO Copyright Treaty, Geneva, December 20, 1996, came into force March 6, 2002[5][6]
The list below was taken from details supplied by WIPO, UNESCO and the WTO (see references): they are correct as of 2005-12-11 (2000-01-01 for the Universal Copyright Convention), and include some accessions after that date. Dates quoted are the date on which the treaty came into effect for a given country.

SciReg creates Registration Records solely on the basis of information provided by the Customer. The Company does not independently verify the identity of the Customer or the accuracy, completeness, legality, ownership, originality, authenticity, or legal status of any Submitted Materials.

A Registration Certificate confirms only that SciReg received specified information and Submitted Materials, created a Registration Record, assigned a registration number, and recorded the corresponding date and time of Registration.

A Registration Certificate is not a governmental registration, is not evidence of ownership or authorship, does not establish the existence or validity of copyright or any other intellectual property rights, and does not constitute a legal opinion, certification, adjudication, or governmental act.

5. Registration Procedure

To create a Registration Record, the Customer must:

  1. Create a SciReg Account or sign in to an existing Account.
  2. Complete the Registration form by providing the required information.
  3. Upload the Submitted Materials. Each Registration may include one archive file not exceeding 7 MB in size.
  4. Pay the applicable Registration fee, unless the Registration qualifies for a free Registration offered by the Company.
  5. Submit the Registration through the Service.

Upon successful completion of the Registration process and receipt of payment, if applicable, SciReg will create a Registration Record, assign a unique registration number, record the date and time of Registration, and make a Registration Certificate available to the Customer.

The Company reserves the right to reject or cancel any Registration that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. Registration Fees

Unless otherwise stated on the SciReg website:

Registration fees are subject to change at any time. Any revised fees apply only to Registrations submitted after publication of the updated pricing.

All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly approved by the Company in its sole discretion.

Taxes, duties, bank charges, currency conversion fees, and similar charges imposed by third parties remain the sole responsibility of the Customer.
